Our Story

destin-strader-in-memory.jpg

AED Force staff members dedicate AED Force website in loving memory of their longtime friend and coworker Destin R. Strader of Essex, Maryland, who passed away on August 28, 2023, at the age of 53.

Destin started programming an alpha version of the AED Force website in Djangoa high-level Python web framework, and he was excited about the project and AED Force’s mission of empowering people to save lives.

Destin and his teammates at AED Force had a close working relationship and a shared history. Gary Daniels, director of supply chain and logistics at AED Force, and Destin were childhood friends. Destin and Paula Rebich Scarfone, senior director of marketing at AED Force, both worked at MicroProse Software together back in the mid-1990s when it was a U.S. public software entertainment company known for its strategy games like Civilization by acclaimed designer Sid Meier

Although the final AED Force website is not programmed with Django like Destin could have easily done, it stills pays tribute to Destin.

Destin’s friends at AED Force strive to give back to others and make a positive difference in the world like Destin did at his work, with his family, and through his volunteering and leadership in the Essex community.

Thank you, Destin, for inspiring not only us at AED Force but also so many others you have helped along the way.
